What NPK 2-7-7 Means (Cactus & Succulent)

A low-nitrogen, phosphorus- and potassium-forward cactus fertilizer that keeps growth compact, supports strong roots and helps blooms and overall resilience without forcing soft, leggy tissue.

  • Made for cacti & succulents: Aloe, echeveria, haworthia, jade, euphorbia and desert cacti benefit from gentle, balanced feeding.
  • Compact growth: Low N (2) discourages stretch; higher P & K (7-7) back root strength, buds, colour and stress tolerance.
  • Easy routine: Apply to moist, free-draining media; feed lightly during active seasons and reduce in winter dormancy.

NPK 2-7-7 delivers modest nitrogen for steady chlorophyll production without forcing soft, water-rich tissue. The elevated phosphorus encourages root development and bloom initiation, while potassium regulates water movement, enzyme activity and firmness—key for drought-tolerant species that prefer compact growth and sturdy epidermis.

  • Use: Best for gritty, fast-draining mixes (pumice/perlite/sand). Water first, then feed so nutrients move evenly through the root zone.
  • Frequency: Light, infrequent feeding in spring–summer; minimal to none in cool, low-light months.
  • Care tips: Avoid overwatering; allow media to dry between irrigations. Flush occasionally to prevent salt build-up. Pair with bright light for compact form.

Great works well

My cactus seem to be growing like crazy! I use this about every second month.

The “Love My Cactus” Fertiliser, which was mainly purchased for my Succulents, as I’d researched all available Fertiliser that was both suitable for my succulents & also the most cost effective, as I have quite a lot, & it was one I could use regularly. The Seller transaction was extremely effortless, it arrived earlier than expected & was packaged extremely well, so it didn’t spill. I’d definitely recommend this Seller & wouldn’t hesitate to use again. AAAA++++
