What does NPK 20-20-20 mean? NPK refers to the three primary plant nutrients: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). The matching 20-20-20 numbers describe a balanced source ratio, meaning none of the three primary nutrients is intentionally favoured over the others. What each nutrient does

How to apply it

• Use 4 mL per litre for standard root-zone feeding.
• Use 2 mL per litre for half-strength feeding, sensitive plants or appropriate foliar application.
• Measure the concentrate against the final volume of diluted solution and mix thoroughly with water.
• Apply root-zone feed to moist growing media. Avoid applying fertiliser to extremely dry or waterlogged roots.
• Apply foliar feed during the cooler part of the day and avoid strong sunlight, extreme heat or visibly stressed plants.

When another formula may be more suitable

Plant requirements change with species, growth stage, water quality and growing conditions. A crop with a specific deficiency or specialised flowering requirement may need a different feeding program. Avoid adding calcium, magnesium or other supplements automatically—use them only when your water, growing system or plants indicate they are required.
