D&J Produce partnered with CompleteGrow to optimise nutrient management for their year-round cucumber and eggplant production. The grower faced challenges with declining yields during colder months and inconsistent fruit quality linked to low transpiration rates and nutrient imbalances. To address this, CompleteGrow introduced a precision feeding program tailored to each crop’s specific growth cycle, ensuring balanced nutrition through every stage — from early vegetative push to flowering and fruit development. The program improved nutrient uptake under cool conditions, strengthened plant resilience, and restored uniformity across harvests, resulting in healthier plants, higher yields, and better-quality produce throughout the year.
Following implementation, the grower observed stronger plant health and greater consistency across both crops. Cucumbers maintained steady production through winter, showing improved fruit size and reduced curling, while eggplants developed richer colour, glossier skin, and firmer structure.
