What NPK 20-20-20 Means
A balanced, all-purpose fertilizer—also called 20-20-20 fertilizer or 20 20 20 fertilizer—supplying equal parts nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) for even vegetative growth, strong roots and steady flowering across vegetables, houseplants, ornamentals and lawns.
- Balanced nutrition: Equal N-P-K (20-20-20) supports leafy growth (N), rooting & bud set (P), and vigor & stress tolerance (K).
- All-purpose use: Great “all purpose fertilizer” for seedlings, transplants, herbs, greens, houseplants and ornamentals—ideal between bloom-booster cycles.
- Flexible formats: Works as a water-soluble powder or a ready-to-mix 20 20 20 fertilizer liquid for soil, coco or hydroponics.

What is NPK 20 20 20? It’s a complete, balanced plant food delivering 20% nitrogen (for chlorophyll and foliage), 20% available phosphate (P2O5 for roots and blooms) and 20% soluble potash (K2O for quality, color and resilience). Because the ratio is even, this 20-20-20 fertilizer is a reliable “do-most-things” feed that keeps growth steady without pushing plants too hard in any single direction.
- Use for vegetables, flowers, shrubs, lawns and indoor plants when a general, balanced feed is desired.
- Mix as directed by your product label; apply to moist media for consistent uptake. Can be used as a foliar spray where appropriate.
- If your water is very soft or plants are heavy feeders, pair with a calcium-magnesium supplement for complete nutrition.
FAQ
The best indoor plant food is a balanced, liquid fertilizer with essential nutrients like nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). Our All-Purpose Indoor Plant Food is specially formulated for houseplants, providing fast absorption and visible results within weeks.
Indoor plants thrive on plant food that delivers complete nutrition without overfeeding. Look for a formula designed for foliage and root health. Our 500ml formula makes 500 litres — offering long-lasting nourishment without harsh chemicals.
Yes. Indoor plants don’t have access to the natural nutrients found in outdoor soil. Regular feeding with plant food helps maintain leaf colour, prevent yellowing, and support steady growth in potted environments.
Technically yes, but it’s not always ideal. Indoor plant food is usually milder and formulated for lower light and humidity conditions. For outdoor plants, use a stronger, weather-resistant fertilizer made for outdoor use.
